Monday Design Wall - The Stars are Growing

Stars Over Scott .... My Design Wall and Sewing Machine have been somewhat quiet. The scrappy wall is moving slowly, and may change a few times before finishing with something I like.

As some of my readers know, I HATE to cook. But I DO cook. Our home is 26 years old and I still had the same stove and double oven - why change, they were fine. Then they weren't! We spent a whole day shopping for a new stove top and double oven. We did not want to go through the expense of changing the dimensions, so we shopped for the same size -- except I am getting one of those fancy glass tops (even faster cleaning). When you change built-in appliances - not much sewing for a week.

It is also Mardi Gras here in South Louisiana. Family is in from Texas -- there are parades, beads, shopping and more parades. So I must depend on other Design Walls over at Judy's Patchwork Times for my fix.

Jamie, looks good so far. Enjoy your company and Mardi gras. Sounds like you'll be having a grand time. Your sewing will resume shortly. Jane

I love my glass top. It's MUCH less cleaning. I haven't gotten much sewing done lately either.

The blocks look great! I love the square around them.

I absolutely HATE cooking. I don't like shopping much either and to have to spend a day shopping for a stove!!! Sounds absolutely miserable to me. :) At least you can get back to sewing this week!

Great stars, and I love the choice of colors. Can't wait to see the final design.

I love it! I'll have to put that design on my to-do list. You'll love your glass top stove. I've had one for 15 years and it still looks like new.

Your design wall looks great! Changing out the appliances takes a lot of time.......last year we switched out our appliances and it took a lot of work and research. I hope it goes well and you get what you like :-)
