This is the fourth time I have used this pattern, and still cannot believe how fast it comes together. I started on Friday evening after work by cutting the pieces -- all of them. By Saturday afternoon, the top was done and Sunday it was quilted. No pressure, just took my time and enjoyed the process.
The backing used was a bold zig zag bordered by the main gray color used.
Of course, I personalized the quilt with the baby's name, Lucas .... I love this part.
And...a close up of swirls.
Pattern Name: Licorice Whip
Designer: Jamie Elfert, for Black Cat Creations
Finished Size: 64" x 64"
As much as I love traditional quilting, I enjoy the Modern Movement just as much. Today, I am linking up Megan and Heather at Quilt Story for Fabric Tuesday.

64in square is a big quilt for a little guy. :) I like the colors and the pattern is quite interesting. Nice work.
I have not seen this pattern before! Very interesting and appropriate for a boy, I think!
