Batik Acappella

I must have used about every color in my drawer of brightly colored batiks.  I auditioned a dozen borders until I found this brightly colored orange/red/yellow batik.  I love mindless piecing and this fit the bill.

A close-up of the quilting, I used the channel lock on my Gammill and love the results.  Once I came to the last block, I had finally found my rhythm.  The thread is a variegated red/orange.

Pattern Used:  Acappella
Designer:  Jamie Janow Elfert

Yep, the black in the background of your version is much more striking than the cream in the original. The original is pretty, but yours is WOWIE ZOWIE!

Those gorgeous jewel colors on black are stunning...shimmery. A sophisticated take on Amish styling! The quilting is so very well suited. Thanks for sharing! Hugs.....

What a beauty! Kudos to the pattern designer (um... guess that would be YOU!). Batiks make such a cheerful quilt, and this one really ROCKS!

OH wow...love the use of color in this one... I don't see how working with those colors could be mindless at all..at all.
Lovely piece of work on so many levals.
