Pink, Purple and ORANGE

To continue the Rainbow Scrappy Saturday -- I just finished 8 more log cabins for the wall.  The first 8, combined pink /purple and this month is Purple /Orange.  The setting is not permanent, I just wanted to show the progress using the 2"strips this weekend.

The blocks finish at 10 1/2" square (11" unfinished).  If I make 8 each month for 6 months, I will have 48 blocks for a nice size quilt.  Even with three more Saturdays left in March, I have put a dent in the orange bucket. Before the day is done, I will cut through a few more scraps to make nice neat strips and blocks --- then I'll be ready for next week.

Pretty. I like that layout (dark/light) the best of all the log cabins.

Terrific idea - combing two rainbow colors in one log cabin block. I will enjoy watching this evolve!

WOW. The rainbow colours look so good in this format, can't wait to see what colour next and how it looks in the mix. Plus I love the pic at the top of your blog, what a gorgeous quilt.
