Quilting Tops, Stars Over Scott

I can't wait to start quilting this "Stars Over Scott"!   Feathers, feathers and more feathers.  I will also get to use the beautiful pearl pink Glide Thread -- love the stuff!  The quilt is for a Breast Cancer Awareness Event called "Ladies Night Out" in March.  I was asked to something "Pink" -- well it is 'PINK"!

The Scrappy Geese Quilt is almost done.  This one is from the string blocks left behind by my grandmother and with Bonnie Hunter's help, they became flying geese.  My goal is to finish at least one Utility Quilt per month using my grandmother's string blocks for family members.  A little more of the story behind the strings is here.  Month #2, Utility Quilt #2, YEA!

Monday Design Wall Link with Judy at Patchwork Times -- see ya there!

My, you are a busy and productive gal! Your quilts are wonderful, and yes, feathers on the pink will be great! You are becoming the "feather queen" since getting your longarm. The string flying geese quilt is a great idea... think I need to gather some strings and start stitching.

YOur string geese look a lot like the quilt Bonnie found. And what a great tribute to your grandmother.

lovely pink quilt and it is really great that you are donating it. I love the strings that are in a quilt from your grandmother too, they are in a quilt as they were meant to be.

Bonnie Hunter has inspired us a lot and has made it even more fun to watch her sew on her QuiltCAM. Great to use these string blocks for your family. Love the Feathers on the Pink quilt idea too.

What a great idea Jamie to use your grandmother's quilts to make one for your family members! I love the look of it on the frame - very colorful and happy :*) And your "pink" quilt is perfect for the BCA event!

I love your pink quilt. Would you mind if I used it as a mystery quilt at a sewing retreat? It's not really a mystery but something that can be made mostly at home before the retreat and the block placement revealed at the retreat.I didn't realize you had a tutorial for this quilt until today. Let me know.

Both of those quilts are wonderful, Jamie! Love the pink (and that's saying a lot, because pink isn't my favorite color) and your grandmother's quilt is so colorful and cheerful!! Nice work!
