Stars Over Scott Quilt

Quiet often, I find myself making another Stars Over Scott.  They are quick, large and great for masculine gifts. It is also one of my favorites and named for my son Scott.  The above quilt finishes at 86" X 98".

For this version, I used 6" (finished) HSTs -- it is the only block you need -- 164 of them.  The free pattern is linked here ... Stars Over Scott.

The recipient of this quilt will always be known for wearing plaid shirts.  I knew I had to find something plaid for backing.  I have to give credit to Andrea with Quiltingfor4, a new designer who raved about the Target Flannel Sheets.  I haven't used flannel before, so I washed the sheets first in case of shrinkage.   I used a queen size flat  and loved it.  Great quality, no distortion after washing and normal shrinkage for flannel.  I also used one of the pillowcases for presentation.

Sharing my finish with Sarah at Confessions for a Fabric Addict ... take a tour of the other finishes and the Hands2Help Comfort Quilts.
