Freedom Star and Scrap Control Update

Happy Fourth of July!!!

A little detour from my regular scrappy projects, although they are coming along.  In South Louisiana, it's hot and rainy.  Not much "outside" weather - oh shoot - I'll have to stay inside and just sew.

What better way to celebrate our Freedom, than making a Red/White/Blue Block - scrappy version of my free pattern offered on Black Cat Creations Face Book Page.  How fun is that!!!!  I have a good idea of turning this into a Quilt of Valor -  I'll share the progress - but it will be a while (as usual, I have several others in the works).

The Kaleidoscope blocks below are continuing with the alternating corner pieces.

And the version below is off the wall and 90% assembled.  I can't wait to load this on the long arm.

I should also count the Rainbow scraps used for the 2018 Rainbow Challenge.  The June blocks were shades of Teal.  July color is red.

So...that's about it for my Scrap Control Updates for June progress and July goals.  I follow along with Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict, who helps us stay accountable to the growing scrap bins. Linking up with Sarah for monthly update of my scrap control.

All of those projects are looking GREAT, Jamie!! Hope you have big plans for your RED scraps for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, too.

I think I have to give in and subscribe to your blog. I'm trying to lessen the number I follow, but every post is something I enjoy, so I'll have to do it. LOL

I guess I'll have to bookmark you and come over now and then to catch up, because there's no follow by e-mail. =)
