With Christmas right around the corner, I am finishing up projects that I started last year. I have already made this quilt for a fund raiser, however I also promised to make an additional two for my great nephews that were never finished (bad aunt)! I am determined to finish these school pride quilts.
This is totally different for me --- I have always done Bonnie's mysteries with lots of scraps. We will see how this goes.
Today, I am linking up with my two favorite designers Judy (Patchwork Times) and Bonnie (Quiltville)!

It's fun to see the Grand Illusion blocks on different blogs. Looks like you have made a good start.
The school pride quilt is lovely.

The layout of your school pride quilt is great! And it is fun to see what fabrics everyone is using the Bonnie quilt.
You made me laugh... we are tired of our scraps! LOL
Me too! I bought new yardage for this mystery!
I will be interested to see how your GIMQ will look compared to Bonnie's colors. Great colors.
First, your school pride quilt is great. Neat layout. It really makes the center stand out. Good for you for doing GI in the colors you like. It'll be fun to see all the colors and the progress.
Wow! Love that school pride design. Fun colors for the GIMystery, too.
I don't know what the "quilt police" will think if you make a Bonnie Hunter quilt not out of scraps. It might blow their minds! But I think it will look great.
It will be fabulous!
I know what you mean about being tired of the same scraps. The great thing about Bonnie's designs is that they look good in all-the-same or ultra-scrappy.
Love that tiger in the center of nephew quilt number 1. Good luck getting both to completion.
I used yardage for Bonnie's quilt last year and am doing so again this year. I think it's easier then using scraps and I'm all about making it easy.
