All the blocks and sashing units are sewn for Judy's January Scrappy Challenge. My blocks are 12", because I used units on hand (already sewn). The rows will be labeled, stacked and boxed away for weekend assembly.
We have a freeze coming through Tuesday and Wednesday ..... don't see that down here in Southern Louisiana (on the coast). We may lose electricity, so I need to be ready for handwork. If we have to shut down the town anyway, I would love to see a little snow -- as we don't see much. Most of us don't know how to drive in it - including me.
Linking up with Judy at Patchwork Times and the Design Wall Monday!

Your blocks are great! What a wonderful quilt you are making. Thanks for the inspiration.
Your quilt top is fantastic. I wonder if Judy L thought someone would make a whole quilt from it. What a wonderful way to work from your scraps. I love the secondary design you are getting from the sashing. Just an all round wonderful job! Congrats.
Your scrap challenge top is awesome! Love the stars in sashing. I'm excited to see what block Judy gives us next! Nicely done!!
I really like your photo because it shows how the blocks were created. It's a beautiful quilt. If it snows, I hope you stay warm!
Love your quilt for judy's scrap challenge. you 2 must be so proud.
And to drive in snow, drive slowly and keep the steering wheel straight. and don't brake suddenly. Unfortunately, it's easier to do than to explain.
It's beautiful, Jamie! And I'd add one thing to driving in snow, or on ice-slick roads - put the car in second gear. You'll have more control. Stay warm this weekend - I'm holing up to sew tomorrow while we've got our worst weather! Wind chills are expected to be 5 to 8 BELOW zero here tomorrow morning...
Great top. i'm surprised how many people made a whole top. i am saving my blocks (10 this month) to make quilts at the end of year. samplers with all the blocks.
