Rainbow Scraps -- Black/bright Stars

First, I dug out every scrap, strip, fat quarter and yardage with black backgrounds, then cut them into 4 1/2" squares and strips.  From the strips, I used my Easy Angle Ruler to cut out HSTs.  The black and white background came from my stash.  It looks like someone splashed black paint on it.  These blocks are turning out very whimsical.

Here is a closeup of one of them -- they are really brightly colored.  Each block is finishing at 16", so this one will come together quick.

Our 2013 Rainbow Challenge for Black has one more Saturday left, so I am confident that I will have a quilt top ready by next check in with Angela at SoScrappy.

Looks like fun, Jamie! Makes me want to run out and buy more black and bright fabrics so I can play along!

do you have a link to the pattern for this? I make one similar, but like the square block inbetween the stars.
