So Long Teal, Aqua Turquoise

Today is the last day of July, and the last day for the "Teal, Aqua and Turquoise" blue days in the Rainbow Challenge, hosted by Angela at So Scrappy.

Have you seen the Chevron Quilts popping up everywhere?  I love them and have already used up the final blue scraps to make most of the blocks for the one above.  I used the rail fence on point method.  I have also seen the HSTs, but I wanted to add variety in the row sizes.  I used 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" for the blues and 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" of white.  Still working on Trunk Show projects, so this was the perfect little "leader and ender".

This past weekend, I headed north for New Orleans (about 50 miles), for a mini-vacation with my cousin Monica and new friends Marsha and Sharon who flew in from Texas.  Of course, we visited a quilt shop, the Mes Amis and loaded up with little goodies to make  Chevron Quilts for Monica's two grand daughters. I have already started pulling from my stash to add to the projects and will show it off here as soon as the design wall is empty.

Isn't that a wonderful pattern? So easy, especially if you have a design wall! Yours looks great - I may have to try a scrappy one out of my newly organized scrap bins....
