Graduation Quilt

All of the quilting is done, the binding is ready to attach and needles threaded for hand work.  It is about time!

I have been in Texas the last couple of weeks off and on.  Unfortunately, it was not a vacation, but rather the goodbyes to my sister-in-law of 37 years.  Christine left behind my brother Tiger, their two daughters, Kristy and Missy and six grandchildren.  Not to mention three sisters, a brother, sisters-in-law and MANY nieces and nephews.  The family came in from everywhere visiting as she slowly slipped away.  Then, rather than mourn her passing, our large family came together and celebrated her life.

It is now time to get back to work... to start, I can't wait to  join Sarah at her Whoop Whoop Friday Linky Party.  I have been watching from the side-lines (rather my IPAD -- thank goodness the hospital and hotels had WiFi).

I am so sorry for your loss. My BFF of 38+yrs just passed a few short weeks ago and I still have such strong urges to pick up the phone to share a tid bit. It is that side of 'life' that will enter for all of us. Hugs and blessings to you....

I'm sorry to hear about your SIL, but what a joy to be able to celebrate a life well lived with your family!

Your quilt, as usual, is fantastic - the quilting is the perfect complement for those lovely Kate Spain fabrics! Whoop whoop!!
