Batik Scraps and New Camera

After rearranging my sewing room to accommodate my new Gammill, the scrap bins had to be reduced.  I have a huge box of batik pieces -- several are brights.  I dug out one of my favorite background fabric -- black Kona's -- I like anything Kona  -- nothing highlights the main affair like a contrasting solid.  So far I have twelve bright beauties.

I am also busy on the Gammill with new projects.  When I get tired of standing, I sit and piece through the batiks.  I am anxious to see how long I can piece from the scraps before I have to cut into a fat quarter.

I have also treated myself to a new camera --- most of the time my TV is on the USA, TNT or A&E channels -- but a little channel surfing landed me on QVC's special of the day.  When they showed the difference between the "phone camera" photos (that I use a lot) and their photos -- hey, no brainer.  I am not much of a researcher when it comes to non-sewing gadgets, so this was perfect.

Of course, the camera only works when it is used -- so I need a bigger purse.  Hmmmm, I think a little more shopping is necessary.

Love your stars!! And it is always fun to go shopping, and then have to do more shopping to go with the stuff you just bought from the last shopping binge.
