Colorful Finish

"Checkerboard Twist" is done --- This pattern was published in the 2008 Winter Fons and Porter's Easy Quilts and designed by Mimi Wellington. The yardage requirements for the backing was more than I had left, but a few scrap blocks inserted off to the left and I had enough.
 And the front .....

I just had to share more "Jolie" pictures (my new great niece) -- don't you wish we could read their minds behind those changing expressions -- especially the bottom right hand corner.

On the first day Mommy (Samantha) had to return to work, Jolie was so happy to see her that evening.

I am joining Quilt Story's Fabric Tuesday today with a link to my finish.

What an incredibly happy and colorful quilt! I love it when a pattern from a magazine turns out and especially the way yours had!

What a bright and happy quilt!! And I love the backing. It is perfectly in tune with the front. And such a beautiful baby. I agree, it would be so much fun to know what they are thinking to go along with all the facial expressions they come up with.

Great quilt! And going back to work with a new baby is so incredibly hard, especially with the first baby :(.
