On June 25th, a memorial run/walk will be held in honor of two young men, Raymond and Lindsey who lost their lives in an alcohol related accident nearly a year ago. The quilt above, will be one of many items raffled to help and educate our community against alcohol and other drug related violence. A portion of the proceeds will also go to establish a Memorial Scholarship on behalf of Raymond and Lindsey. When Lindsey's mom asked me to make a quilt, it did not take me long to think of this design in their favorite colors (green and white). The title "The Only Drunkard Path Belongs in a Quilt" is a testimony of their family's loss. Special Thanks to The Quilting Niche', for the awesome job of quilting the top with the heavenly stars.

This quilt is a perfect choice as a donation for the Memorial Scholarship fund. It was a nice touch to use the boys' favorite color.

Drunkards Path is really pretty. It's one of my very favorite patterns. I've supported MAD for many years. The title to the quilt is very appropriate.
