ohhh...I collect ties too. I have for years and had plans to make a cool skirt I clipped out of a magazine. Unsew them then sew together long ways (you keep the point intact) then turn the waist band over and put elastic in. Sounded so easy but I still have bags and bags of ties. I finally did something with a few of them last year..and again this year. Definitely not a sewing project but pretty cool.
