My MIL Alzina and FIL Sidney both have green thumbs....mine is totally black. About 25 years ago, my grandmothers brother, Daniel, gave me clippings from his blackberry bushes. Those clippings traveled over 400 miles from mid-Texas to southern Louisiana. My MIL planted them near the bayou and they have thrived all these years. Only in Texas fashion, these bushes produce the biggest toe-size berries. My Uncle Dan has been long gone, however I think he would be very proud of his little off-springs.
