The second School Pride Top is on the wall. The first is on the quilting frame....one to go. I am soooo not an applique expert. The Tigers took forever to cut out with tiny little scissors and careful turning. I used Heat n Bond Lite (first time) and really like the softness after ironing.
The Friday link up at Sarah's Confession of a Fabric Addict is filling up. So many are busy with Christmas projects....thank goodness I have the weekend for more sewing time.

School Pride / Mystery Update
Newest project on the design wall -- a quilt for my Great Nephew's school. The colors are burgundy and white .... with a Tiger mascot in Silsbee Texas. I pulled out a favorite pattern which will be a perfect school two-color quilt. Although you cannot see the close-up of the white on white, it is from the "Quilt Across Texas" collection. I bought 10 yards last month and ordered 5 more yards -- basic staple.

Finished Hearts
The month of December is all about finishing all the projects going on. Today, I am showing the "All Hearts" for School for Exceptional Children.
The School for Exceptional Children is a public school serving special needs children who do not attend their regular home-based school. Each year, they host an important fundraiser and reunion for the students, families, friends and staff. On December 12th, the event will showcase the students singing classic holiday songs, Christmas photos, food, drinks, and a silent auction.
My goal is to have a finish every Friday in December. Looking at the projects hanging next to the quilting machine, I am on a roll.
Linking up with Sarah at Confessions for a Fabric Addict today, be sure to check out the others.

All Hearts
One of the teachers is a good friend, so the above idea was born. My design wall is in front of my long arm so while quilting, I can look up and stare. I move around the little squares until a pattern evolves -- unfortunately, I did not earlier pictures when the dancing began.

Stars So Bright
After I made the first star, I knew who this quilt would be for. It is still a little surprise, but she LOVES Mardi Gras. The quilt started with the October challenge by Angela at So Scrappy. The white background with droplets of black shows off the bright colors against black.
A close-up of the quilting -- I had to do feathers to match the feathers used for Mardi Gras costumes, masks and head pieces.
And another just because! Now to join others with my Friday Finish at Sarah's Confessions of a Fabric Addict.

Baylee and Breelyn
Two little girls will soon have a surprise. I loved making these little charmers. One is a chevron and the other is diamonds. Both have the same backing -- above is a little peak. The binding is my favorite. Their grandmother (my cousin Monica) asked for Zebra -- perfect.
Here is a close up -- swirls and swirls and swirls.
The labels are a surprise, I will show those later.
Linking up with Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict, it has been a while that I could actually share what I have been working on.
