Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day Weekend -- we were so busy, this is the first time I have touched my computer in several days! I did manager to sew of course, finishing the blocks for the H2H Challenge. The blocks are labeled and stacked on the side of my machine waiting to be sewn together.
On Saturday, my sister Phyllis and I had a Mother's Day with her 2 granddaughters ... shopping, pedicures and lunch. While at her house, I took a picture of her design wall. No, this is not my sister's quilt, it is her granddaughter's. Alexis is 5 (youngest of 3) and has been sewing now for almost a year. Phyllis does the cutting and pinning, but Alexis does all the sewing! The other two, Alissa and Austin also sew quilt tops. Austin was fishing, so I will show his quilt another day.
If you want to see other Design Walls - visit Judy at Patchwork Times. I will be linking up and checking out the others.

The colors in your H2H quilt are great and I love seeing the pride in Alexis' face.
I love your blue and yellow. I have always been attracted to blue and yellow. WOW...the quilt your niece is making is amazing for someone so little. It must be nice to share your love of sewing with your family.
Love the blue and yellow blocks! And the little quilter is a doll! I remember the days of sitting on my mom's lap at the sewing machine, learning to feed fabric under the presser foot without running over my fingers. Here's to moms with patience!
It looks like Alexis is creating a treasure she will keep forever. It love it yellow and blue H2H quilt. I've always thought that yellow and blue make a very happy looking combination.
the h2h is wonderful... blues and yellows go so nicely together. I look forward to the day I can sew with my grand daughter... we've got a bit of a wait -- she's not even a year old!
Wow a quilter at the age of five!! She looks so thrilled with her work and it is beautiful.
Your H2H quilt is going to be gorgeous, Jamie! And I can't wait to start teaching Lilli how to sew - it's good to hear I can start soon!! Your niece's quilt is beautiful!
your quilt top is looking fantastic! I love this design and it looks like a good step for me past just blocks, I am loving what I am learning! Thanks for the inspiration.
What a proud little sewer and what a great quilt!
That's awesome that your sister's granddaughter is quilting.
How wonderful that a 5 year old can so so well. I wish I had been willing to sew with my grandmother, we could have had so much fun together.
Love your colors. Very nice work.
Two great quilt tops!
Your H2H quilt looks fabulous. I finally started mine this week, but haven't posted yet. I am really enjoying playing with the fabrics you sent me.
