Design Wall -- Using Leftovers

Using the leftovers from the Batik, "Kristy's Dream" --- cut from the pinwheel flowers --- I made 1/2 square triangles and trimmed them to 2 1/2". They are combined with 4 1/2" blocks from my batik scrap stash. This may not be the final layout, as it will depend on how big I want it. If I add sashing, it will use up more scraps and make it larger. Or... it may end up as a small wall hanging.

It looks good Jamie, whatever size you decide on!

Love it Jamie! Way to use up the scraps instead of putting them away for whenever.

Hi Jamie, I am enjoying your blog. I have relatives in your area (Bill Ellzey, writer for the Houma Courier) and venture down that way occasionally. We ALMOST stopped by the Folk Life Museum the last time we were through there, but were short on time. I will have to make it a point to go by there now! Thanks for posting!

Hey Jamie! Next time you are in Baton Rouge be sure to have an extra half hour to check out the quilt show hanging at Jones Creek Library. OR I could send you pictures!

Hi: I'm from our Lib-Quilters group so I came to visit. I love this quilt of leftovers used in such a good way. If you don't have an album at our group, why not post this quilt, since the scrap blocks are a liberated use of your scraps?
I'd love to have you introduce yourself, too, if you haven't done so yet.
