Red and White Southern Sky

A Red and White Kona cotton "Southern Sky" is done.

Trying new techniques, I used two layers of batting and densely quilted the white areas to raise the red quilting.

I washed and blocked the finished quilt and it has softened a little, but with the quilting and double batting, not as cuddly as I like -- my quilts are used a lot, so maybe after a few more washings, it will help.

Beautiful! The swirly quilt design really adds softness and movement.

My goodness, that's beautiful, Jamie!! I love that design, and it's fabulous in just two colors! Your quilting's pretty amazing, too....
