Fall is in the Air

The orange hour glasses are adding up for the Rainbow Challenge.  Although my time is spent quilting tops right now, I am happy to sit every so often and mindlessly sew these little jewels.  I still need a table topper for a Fall arrangement .... so this may fit the bill.

Speaking of quilting tops, I am struggling with "ruler work" -- I know practice makes perfect, but uuuggg! I am so impatient.    I really need to get this under control, so I will go back and keep trying.

When Lighting Strikes

In Southern Louisiana, we have had a lot of bad weather, including lighting storms. We now have a new internet service, new phones and lucky we did not lose more.  I have been wanting to share these beautiful batik quilts made by Kathy from Texas. She used my "Stars over Scott" pattern, named for my son.  The quilts are made using batik HSTs!  That's it.  Good way to use up scraps.

In the works, busy quilting tops for new patterns by Black Cat Creations.  The Houston Market is just around the corner.

Linking up with Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict to show off Kathy's quilts.
