Block of the Month and Quilting Update

On the rack -- "Blue Me Away" in the Pink.  The Breast Awareness Fund Raiser is around the corner, so I pulled it out of the closet to start quilting.  It is so nice to have a separate quilting machine.  On the other side of the room is a whole lot of piecing action.
The Block of the Month hosted by Quit Story's Heather and Megan.  They have chosen a theme for each month which lets the quilter decide how simple or complex they make the blocks. In March - nine-patches, April - HST's (Leaves and Diamonds by Marcia Hohn's Quilter's Cache), and now May - hourglasses.  Heather and Megan have set up links for others joining in, so I am on my way to see how others are doing.

That is one beautiful quilt!! I am sure it will do well raising money for the cause!! I really like your color choices for your Block of the Month blocks. A very "woodsy" color combo that will give you a beautiful 'canvas' for future quilting. You're right, having a separate machine for quilting is/would be very nice. Hope to be in a similar position in a few months. Hugs, Doreen
