Rainy Day Project Bagged

The Design Wall is empty -- the Leader and Ender Blocks are done, labeled and bagged for a Rainy Day.
The sashing pieces used --
  • 2 1/2" Navy Squares
  • 4 1/2" Background Squares for outside
  • 4 1/2" x 8 1/2" Background Rectangles
Leaders and Enders (Thanks to Bonnie Hunter's method -- a.k.a. Quiltville):
Used up 2 1/2" scrap squares to make:
  • 16-Patches
  • 4-Patches
  • 8-Patch Rectangle

Now, they are all bagged in the nifty Ziplock Bag for another day. Maybe a "Project on the Go" when I travel .... or .... one of those Friday Workshops our guild has monthly .... or ... I may use to as a continued "Leader/Ender" for the next project which is lurking above in the picture. These are 18 Fat Quarters paired for a quilt using lots of reproductions.

Its Monday -- and you know what time it is --- I am joining others for the Monday Design Wall Link over at Patchwork Times, hosted by Judy.

Wow, Jamie -- you've been busy! How's your mom-in-law doing? I hope all is well and she's recovering nicely. Have a great week!! :)

Nice to have you back. It's a good feeling to clear the DESIGN Wall and just bag it all up, I bet. a to-go kit ready to assemble. Do you include a picture of how it goes back together with your bundle?

That quilt is beautiful...would love to get something finished like that, that would require me starting it though! :)

What a great idea to have a project all ready when you need one. I like to have some binding to put on when I want to just sit down and do some hand work, or for when the power goes out during hurricane season.

Love your L&E blocks! You are so organized...not so at my house. Chaos rules!

I just love the power of leaders and enders! I have a box of 16 patches waiting to turn into something and love your setting idea. I had thought about snowball blocks, but it seemed like too much background, snowball sashing would work really well.
