Monday Design Wall - Quilting Tops and Orca Bay

My Design Wall has 2 projects I can't share, but here is the first step for the 2011 Bonnie Hunter Mystery, Orca. As soon as I have 10 done, they are safety pinned. I now have 200 done and will start piecing again after I finish quilting the table topper below. My mystery is also my "Leader/Ender" for my Christmas Projects.

I return to work today after a week off -- a little disappointed that I did not finish the Table Topper. My plan now is to finish by tomorrow night and hand sew the binding Wednesday.

And .... because I have started the 2011 Mystery, I HAVE TO QUILT and finish 2010 RRCB. I have ironed out the creases (after it was folded for months) and have it ready for sandwiching. I have more vacation around the holidays and will finish this for my bed.

On the wall -- two projects I will reveal after the holidays -- my family watches my blog!

Yes, you really must finish your 2010 mystery. It looks great!

You've been busy!!!

Your RRCB looks great now, but once you quilt it, I'm certain it will be absolutely fabulous!! I'm quilting one of Bonnie's quilts (fair and square) between clues. I think Dec is going to be almost completely filled with Bonnie.

Your RRCB is beautiful and will only improve with your quilting. Someday, maybe, I will tackle one of Bonnie's quilts (all those tiny little pieces).

You've made good progress on the current mystery and your top from last year is lovely. It will be fun to see it all quilted!

I can't start or do anymore stuff. I have to devote all my sewing time, which is limited this year by my company until the 7th of Dec to getting my Christmas gifts ready to mail and wrap. Some of it is Binding so that will go quickly. I like watching your Blog too...

Just gorgeous stuff you have posted today and the RRCB looks wonderful. I didn't get my Thanksgiving table topper done but that's ok. I will after the holidays. Working just bites into my quilting time so much!! Have a smooth transition back to work.

Oh, I love the colors in your RRCB! Quite the prettiest one I've seen, I think!

Good for you for getting out your RRCB and planning on getting it quilted. You've got a lot going on. Lots of lovely eye-candy.

LOVE your RRCB!! I knew it was a Bonnie pattern as soon as I saw it. And I think yours might have inspired me to add it to my 2012 list of things to do. Thanks, I think....
